Sandy's - finishing up there record,,, spring 2014 release

hey friend's T.Campbell here,,,recently spent some time with Alexi Glickman in his cute little marin recording studio,,,dialing a few last details for Sandy's new record. Which looks to be releasing in the spring on UM YEAH ARTS,,,, this is really exciting,,,the record really sounds amazing,,they are killing it live,,,,,,,excited to share it with the world.

"Cuatro Suenos Pequenos" Trailer no.1

UM YEAH Arts Presents - "Cuatro Suenos Pequenos" (four small dreams) - A new skate film - Visual Audio Experiment by Thomas Campbell. This 23 minute movie was shot entirely on 16mm film in a dream scene scenario that blends reality, surreality and a skate adventure starring Javier Mendizabal and Madars Apse. This film captures Javier Brushing his teeth,slobbering on his pillow, bedding down with a beautiful brunette. Also Javi running into Madars Apse in his dream, they skate over volcano's,thru the woods and into cities of Spain,The Canary Islands,Mallorca,The Basque country and California.This film has a completely original soundtrack by the critically acclaimed Basque super group "Chiwoks".And besides the usual unusual camera perspectives you expect from a Thomas Campbell film. French Fred is also is on board Lending his iconic visual wizardry to this cauldron of the bizarre, beauty and gnar.

Very cool vibrant swath of humanity hear,,,,good stuff ,,,,there are framed pieces are available for sale at https://theartpark.com.au ,,,and at the end of my stay here we will put up another small show of the residency's produce,,, stay tuned

Sandy's and The Mattson 2 play MOLLUSK BIG SUR JAMBOREE on September 27 to 28th

hey friends,,,t.campbell here,,,hope you guys are awesome,,,i am down in australia doing my residency at art park,,,which is going super good. nice to be here,,,,,, but i am kind of bummed i can't go to the mollusk jamboree next weekend in big sur. Maybe you might not know yet,,,i am transitioning UM YEAH press into UM YEAH ARTS ,to create a general creative platform for releasing music, art, films and movies and two bands that will be putting out records on UM YEAH in the next year,,,, Sandy's and The Mattson 2 will be playing the jamboree,,,with a bunch of great bands,,,should be an epic time.... The mattsons have been jamming alot with farmer dave these days,,,so you may see this trio in action,,,,,hope your all well and you can make it to the epicness john and all the folks got together,,,,,all the best----t.cam

Mollusk Surf Shop has partnered with specialty musical events creator, (((folkYEAH!))) to stage the MOLLUSK BIG SUR JAMBOREE on September 27 to 28th. Two days of music, camping and ensuing fun, set amongst the redwoods on the banks of Big Sur River at Fernwood Resort.

We have collaborated closely with (((folkYEAH!))) in selecting a myriad of musical acts, many of whom are friends and affiliates of Mollusk and staples of (((folkYEAH!))) events. Acts include: 

Vetiver, Beachwood Sparks, McCombs Skiffle Players (a once in a lifetime Cass McCombs super group), Allah-Las, Sonny and the Sunsets, The Autumn Defense, Little Wings, Neal Casal, Chris Cohen, F.D and the Wizards of the West All Stars, Range of Light Wilderness, The Mattson 2, Sandy’s, The Tyde, Tomorrows Tulips, Simone Rubi, Birds of America, Light Fantastic, Matt Baldwin & Nico Georis, Gnagoriaceht, Honeycrisp plus special guests and secret late night jam sessions!

Alongside the music, San Francisco-based artist, Jay Nelson will create a site-specific installation. We encourage you to pack you lunch, dinner, wine, beer whatever you feel pairs well with the Jambo. If not food and drink will be available onsite. Exclusive Mollusk event merchandise will also be available to purchase onsite.

Mark Whiteley, skateboarder and Leica photographer,former editor of SLAP Magazine introduces his interview series “Rolling Through the Shadows.” This series will take a closer look at the seemingly unlikely collision of skateboarding and M photography from the perspective of the skaters and photographers themselves.
